What are your store hours?
Scratch is open Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

How much are your cupcakes?
Standard-size cupcakes are $2 each or $22 per dozen (buy 11 get 1 free). Mini cupcakes (2-3 bites) are $12 per dozen with a minimum order of 2 dozen; 1 dozen minimum per flavor.

What's Gelato?
Gelato is *amazing* Italian Ice Cream. We're sure once you try it, you'll have a hard time going back! :-) Gelato is made with less fat and less air than ice cream, resulting in the most flavorful ice cream you'll ever try! The creamy texture is hard to beat - and regular ice cream just can't compare!

How long can I store your cupcakes?
Cupcakes are best enjoyed the day they are purchased or the day after. Standard-size cupcakes can be frozen and brought to room temperature and will maintain their quality. Mini cupcakes have a much shorter shelf-life and should not be frozen. Minis can be kept at room temperature for about 24 hours. Please don't refrigerate cupcakes.

Do your products come into contact with...?
While everything is cleaned and sanitized daily, cupcakes (including icings) may come into contact with eggs, dairy, soy, wheat, and/or nuts (including peanut butter and oils). Please ask if you have specific concerns. We are not a nut-allergy-friendly environment!

What exactly is a frosting shot?
Some of us are frosting addicts. A frosting shot is for that sugar-a-holic who really doesn't do cake - but really digs frosting! Frosting shot flavors vary from day to day. Just ask at the counter what we have available that day!

Have you won any awards?
We have! Best Bakery in Eastern Iowa (3rd Place) 2011 KCRG A-List, Best Food Prepared with Beer (1st Place) 2010 Beers to You and Gourmet Too, and Best Bakery in the Cedar Valley (HM) 2010 Courier Best of the Best. We have two more to announce soon!

Do you deliver?
Yes! Delievery is available Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays with a timeframe of 9am-noon. Minimum delivery order is 2 dozen cupcakes and must be ordered by noon the day before your delivery date. Delivery fee is $15 in Cedar Falls and Waterloo. This does *not* include wedding orders.

I'm absolutely addicted to your peanut butter frosting...can I buy JUST that?
For sure! Availibility varies, so if you know what you want, be sure to call ahead so we can have it ready for you! Frosting is available in 12oz containers at $4-$6 per container.

How much notice do you need for an order?
Just call us by noon the day before you need them and we can generally have the order ready the next day. For wedding events or anything of a quantity 200+, please give at least 1 week notice.

Do you ship your cupcakes?
We're working on it!

How do I place an order?
Please call the store at 319-277-7855! Easy as that!

For large orders (300+) and weddings, email Natalie at natalie@scratchbakery.com. Please do not email same-day orders.

Cupcake orders for Saturday cannot be accepted after noon on Friday.
